What a Wonderful Weekend

Well it was one of those amazing Oregon weekends. It started out on Saturday...Eric, Tyson and I went to a Pug Meet Up. What is that you may ask? Well a bunch of people with Pugs get together for a massive play date. There were about 50 Pugs there and Tyson was by far the cutest. I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures, but I promise next time (they do this once a month) I will remember and take lots of pictures. We also spent some time with Mike and Yvonne. Tyson spent more time outside having a blast with Biscuit. He was one tired puppy by the time the day was over. :)

Then it was time to celebrate Ed's birthday. So we spent the evening doing all things Ed. We watched the Basketball game at a bar, Eric and Ed played a little online poker, then we went to Jimmy Mac's to listen to music. It was a great night!

Then on Sunday Eric, Tyson and I went on an awesome hike. We went to Sauvie's Island and did a 6 mile hike. Tyson made it almost the entire way before his little legs got tired. The coolest part of our hike was this random man we met along the way. He was mushroom hunting and he taught us how to find them. I know, I know, I personally do not like mushrooms, but I gotta tell you, hunting for them is really fun! So we found a bunch and then took them over to my parents house and had a great dinner. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Tyson...looking cute

At the end of the first leg....3 miles down and everyone is still smiling

Then we got to mile 5 and poor Tyson boy was tired. So he got a little help from me and Eric. After about 10 minutes he was ready to go. I think the playing with a puppy on the beach was what did him in. :)

My sweet happy boys. :)

Hope all is well with you. Make sure to stay in touch. Remember the guest room is ready for anyone who wants to come and visit.

Family Time!

This weekend Mo, Naya and Matthew visited.
Naya and Tyson by the holiday house

We went on a walk around the block...here is Uncle Eric taking a break from carrying Matthew.

Who is walking who?? Naya and Tyson on our walk

Naya at the holiday house. She was excited to see Patrick...as in St. Patrick! :)

Matthew...aka Bubba (at least that is what I call him). He looks pretty tough in this picture!

Here is a picture of Tyson sleeping on Eric. Eric is playing Wii and Tyson cuddled right up. Check out his new collar. Can you guess who picked it out??

Uh oh...you're not supposed to be in the bed!! I can't be too mad...look how cute they are. :)

Let's see...nothing too new with us. Just waiting for the nice weather so we can spend some quality time outside. Hope all is well with you.

Oh Canada

We went to Canada this weekend with Yvonne and Mike (and Biscuit) to visit Danny and Melissa. We had a great time hanging out with the family. They live in Victoria, a beautiful place, I really recommend checking it out if you haven't been before. We had a great time!

But the main reason we went, was to pick up the newest addition to the family. Tyson (aka Porkchop) Check out some of the photos below.

Here he is...Tyson (aka Porkchop). This is a picture of us going home.

Old school phone booth. I am inside...and guess what, there is a real working pay phone in there.

Pilot boat. Learned all about them thanks to Mike.

Some cool sculpture in Victoria

Eric is making friends with one of the locals.

Whoa, hold on, Eric is steering the boat!

Well there you go, our trip to Canada. It was quick but it was great seeing Danny and Melissa. We can't wait to take another trip up north, but this time we will stay a lot longer. Love you all!

Laura's 30th B-Day

A good friend of ours turned 30 recently. We had a great time at both of the parties. Yes, 2 parties. One that was a girls only (but the boys showed up later), Sex and the City themed night out. And then an evening with friends and family at Paragon. Check out the photos below.
These pictures are from the girls night. First we went to Christy's house and had drinks, we took the Max downtown and checked out Adam's (Laura's brother) fashion show, then it was off to meet the boys and then to Marathon.
Birthday Girl!

Fun on the Max: Our friend Summer has a broken arm, and Laura is trying to decorate it with glitter puffy paint on the max.

Hello...Hello

Sorry it's been a while since I updated the blog. Let's see what has happened since the holiday's. Well it continues to snow off and on, but the sun is finally starting to come out on a consistent basis. :) Eric is busy at work, it's now wrestling and basketball season so he has been working a lot. Oh, we have been enjoying our house and found the BEST coffee shop that is walking distance to our house, and no it is not Starbucks! Below are some pictures from Valentine's Day. Eric and I went wine tasting with some friends. The boys rented a limo and had the whole day planned, wine tasting a super lunch and then some more wine tasting. I will try to get some more photos of the house up soon. Love you all!
Wine Country!

So many barrels!

Just another beautiful day in Oregon...nothing better than drinking wine with this as the view.

Snowy Days in Oregon

Hi Friends and Family,
Well Arctic Blast 08 came and went. Portland got a record 18.9 inches of snow. Eric and I chained up the Element, re-named it the Black Cat and made our way through the city without any problems, rescuing family along the way. :) For Christmas, Ashlie's mom and dad came over for brunch and then we all headed over to Mike and Yvonne's and spent time with Eric's family. Our nephew is huge, and so much fun to play with. Naya has become such a little lady and she cracks us up with her dancing and singing. For New Years we had an impromptu get together with a few friends and brought the New Year in with Champagne and a Guitar Hero rock off. Eric and I are looking forward to a year full of spending time with friends and family and enjoying as many adventures as possible. We hope you had a wonderful Holiday season and we wish you the most wonderful 2009.

Well there you go...some photos from Christmas and Arctic Blast. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Oh and good news, there is no more snow here, we are back to the lovely rain. And as always, our guest room is open if anyone wants to come hang out in Oregon.
Love you all!
