We are moved in!
Well good news, we are officially moved in! My arms are tired, my legs are tired, my back is sore but other than that all is good. Big thanks to our buddy Brandon for helping us out. Without him we could not have got it done. He was the super mover! And big thanks for Mom and Dad for all their help as well. I really appreciated being able to take a shower this morning in a nice clean bathroom. :) I don't have any pictures to share yet, since the house has piles of boxes everywhere, but I will have some shortly.

Tour of our new house
Here is a video tour of the first floor of our new house. It's not the best quality, and it's a little dark in the beginning (the light is out in the main room) but you get the idea. :) See the blog post below to get details on the house and more pictures.
Our New House!
Well it's official Eric and I are home owners! Our new address is: 3145 NE 52nd Ave, Portland OR 97213.
Here is a little info about the house: It is located in North East Portland, specifically the Beaumont Area. Beaumont is a super cute area where we can walk to shops, restaurants, bars, etc. The house was built in 1925, but has since be updated. It sits on a 5,000 square foot lot. It is 2,130sq ft including the unfinished basement. It still has the original built-ins and hard wood floors. It has an unfinished basement, and a finished attic. Both spaces have tall(er) ceilings so Eric and I can fit in them without ducking our heads, and we even have head room, plus the stair cases are not scary and easy to go up and down....amazing! The main floor and attic have original wood floors. It has the cool old school crown moldings that you can hang pictures from...basically it is super cute and we love it. It is currently 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, so we have room for guests. You are welcome to come anytime!
Eric and I are already started to outline what we want to update and remodel. It's so fun having a house we can move into without having to do anything but yet it still has potential to remodel and make it our own. Plus a little sweat equity never hurt anyone.
These 2 pictures are from right after we got done signing all the paperwork. We signed on Monday afternoon.

The 2 pictures below are of us waiting outside the house last night. We were waiting for our real estate agent to bring us the keys. Which by the way ended up being underneath a plotted plant in the front yard.

Eric opening our door for the first time!

Yea we are in!!

After our agent left Eric and I spent some time in the house alone. We cracked open a bottle of champagne and walked through the house talking about what we wanted to do in each room. It was a really special moment.

This is us in the dining room. Cheers!

These pictures are not fabulous. They are from our appraisal document. When we went to the house last night it was super dark, so I couldn't take any pictures of my own. But this gives you an idea of what it looks like. The house has a wonderful backyard, we can't wait to have our first BBQ.

Random Weekend
Well it was a random weekend. It started on Friday, Eric had a football game (which they won) and then went out with some trainer friends. I spent the evening with Naya, Maddie, Matthew, Jared and Mo. I got in some quality Aunt time. Then on Saturday Eric had bumps and bruises clinic in the morning, and then that afternoon we went to a BBQ and Yvonne and Mike's. The Roberts family was there, and Aunt Lori and Uncle Mike too. It was great hanging out with family. All of the pictures below are from Saturday. Then on Sunday Eric and I went window shopping for a new couch and washer and dryer for our new house! Yep we bought a house. Whoo hoo! We are supposed to sign paperwork this week. I will take some pictures the next time we are there and post them asap. We are so excited and can't wait to move into our new home. We will send out our new address to everyone so you can find us. Well that it's for now. We hope all is well in your neck of the woods. :)

Touchdown! Naya and Eric were playing catch and she was showing off her touchdown skills.

Sweet Matthew Roberts. Grandma Yvonne was making him laugh, and I had to snap a few pictures.

Oh and then there was bath time.

Birthday Weekend
This weekend was full of birthday celebrations. Eric's b-day was on Friday, he had to work, bummer, but I spent the evening with him at the Gresham High School Football Game. (which they won in overtime!) On the sidelines with my man. :) But no worries, we are going out for a nice dinner tonight (Sunday) so we can celebrate the right way. Then on Saturday it was Naya's 3rd b-day party. She had a Pirate Party, full of eye patches, pirate flags and treasures.
Check out the photos below from the party.
B-Day Boy. Eric got his own cake at the party, cheesecake, his favorite.

Naya trying to put on her candy necklace.

Monique got a pinata for the kids...Naya and Maddie were waiting patiently for their treasure!

So excited. Big smiles from Naya, she had a lot of fun.

Blowing her b-day horn....it was loud!

Blowing out her candles.

Eating cake. Notice the blow pop in her hand, the candy necklace on the table and cupcake on the plate. She didn't know what to do with all those sweet choices. :)

Eric and Mike

Well there is a re-cap of all the b-day fun. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
And remember to keep in touch.

Ode to Naya and Matthew
Eric and I had the pleasure of spending some quality time with our niece and nephew Naya and Matthew this weekend. Here are some pictures.
Matthew's first Jordans. They are socks, but super cute nonetheless.

Here is a picture of Uncle Eric making Matthew laugh. Whenever Eric makes the kiss noise Matthew would smile and laugh.

Bottle time.

This is a picture of Matthew from Friday night, he did not want to go to sleep, so here he is fighting to keep his eyes open.

Next week is Naya's 3rd B-day. So I am sure I will get a lot of pictures from the party. Hope all is well with you.

A little late August Fun
Towards the end of August Eric and I went to see Jack Johnson in concert and then went to the Mariners v A's game with our friend Cara. Here are some pictures from our late August fun.
Ashlie & Eric at the Jack Johnson concert. It was at St Helens amphitheater or aka big hay field. The traffic was horrible, the concert was great.

We went to the game with our friend Cara. Big thanks to B-Mitch who got us the amazing tickets. 20 rows up from home plate. What a great view.

Ashlie and Eric at the game. Not the best picture, but it was raining so that's why I look a little disheveled.

Eric and Cara

Brrr...thank goodness there is this fire place in here. Cara and I found the Moose house and warmed up by his fake fireplace.

Our First Wedding Anniversary!
Eric and I recently celebrated our one year anniversary. First Eric took me to the Benson for Sunday brunch. This is the same place we had brunch after our wedding last year. We chatted over champagne and reminisced over our first year as husband and wife. Then Eric surprised me and took me to the beach. The same beach we went to last year for a our mini-moon. He got us the most amazing room that overlooked haystack rock. Waiting inside the room were flowers, champagne, chocolates and balloons. What an amazing surprise. After a walk on the beach we got ready and went out for a wonderful dinner. I thought the surprises were over, but no, Eric took me kayaking (in Wheeler this little town on the Coast). We had a wonderful time. Sorry no kayak pictures, but there are a couple from our stay on the coast. All in all it was such a special anniversary. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.
