Here is a little info about the house: It is located in North East Portland, specifically the Beaumont Area. Beaumont is a super cute area where we can walk to shops, restaurants, bars, etc. The house was built in 1925, but has since be updated. It sits on a 5,000 square foot lot. It is 2,130sq ft including the unfinished basement. It still has the original built-ins and hard wood floors. It has an unfinished basement, and a finished attic. Both spaces have tall(er) ceilings so Eric and I can fit in them without ducking our heads, and we even have head room, plus the stair cases are not scary and easy to go up and down....amazing! The main floor and attic have original wood floors. It has the cool old school crown moldings that you can hang pictures from...basically it is super cute and we love it. It is currently 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, so we have room for guests. You are welcome to come anytime!
Eric and I are already started to outline what we want to update and remodel. It's so fun having a house we can move into without having to do anything but yet it still has potential to remodel and make it our own. Plus a little sweat equity never hurt anyone.
These 2 pictures are from right after we got done signing all the paperwork. We signed on Monday afternoon.
The 2 pictures below are of us waiting outside the house last night. We were waiting for our real estate agent to bring us the keys. Which by the way ended up being underneath a plotted plant in the front yard.
Eric opening our door for the first time!
Yea we are in!!
After our agent left Eric and I spent some time in the house alone. We cracked open a bottle of champagne and walked through the house talking about what we wanted to do in each room. It was a really special moment.
This is us in the dining room. Cheers!
These pictures are not fabulous. They are from our appraisal document. When we went to the house last night it was super dark, so I couldn't take any pictures of my own. But this gives you an idea of what it looks like. The house has a wonderful backyard, we can't wait to have our first BBQ.
