Graduation!!!

On June 16th 2008 Eric graduated from Oregon State University!
I am so proud of Eric, he accomplished so much. He had a wonderful time at school, he did amazingly and now we are so happy to be living in the same house!

On June 15th we had a graduation party for Eric. Below are some pictures. Thank you to everyone who came....we had a wonderful time celebrating with friends and family.
Friends and Family.

Friends. Big thanks to Cassi who came up from SoCal and Laura who came from Seattle for the party. We are so thankful to have such great friends.

The next morning, the hot air balloons from the festival in Tigard flew over our house and landed in our neighbors field. Usually they land at our house, but the field wasn't mowed.

After graduation Eric started his job at Rebound Rehab. We are doing great, loving life as a married couple who actually live together. :)

Matthew Michael Roberts

On June 11th 2008 Matthew Michael Roberts was born at 5:17pm 8lbs 3oz & 21.5 inches long.
My new little nephew. :)
I was able to be there for the birth...don't worry Mo I did not post any of the videos. But it was an amazing moment, especially when Jared saw that Matthew was a boy, he raised his hands as if he scored a touchdown and yelled (in a high pitch voice) "it's a boy!!"
The wonderful event started when Mo and Jared called me bright and early, I went over to their house so that they could leave for the hospital and I waited for Naya to wake up. Naya and Aunt Ashwie (yes I spelled it as she says it) went to breakfast and then went to the hospital to wait for the new baby. After about an hour of pushing little Matthew came into the world.

The entire family is doing great. Matthew is such a little snuggler and Naya is a proud big sister and calls him "Naya's baby brother"
Eric and I are really excited about our new nephew.

Rose Festival

Eric and I were able to spend some time at the Portland Rose Festival. Here are some pictures from the fireworks extravaganza and some random pictures from the festival.

Eric's Spring Break

Hi Friends and Family,
This last week was Eric's last spring break of college. So we tried to have as much fun as possible. On Tuesday night we went to Apizza Scholls. Some of the yummiest pizza in Portland. We went with a bunch of friends and had a great time and ate a lot of pizza. I highly recommend trying it out. It is only open for dinner, no reservations unless you have 8 or more people and the pizza is stellar! On Wednesday we went to trivia night at the 5th Quadrant (New Old Lompoc) on the NE side of Portland. Totally fun....and Eric even won the trivia egg! (see below) It was this amazing hand painted egg that the trivia master painted. There were three different images on the egg and the last question was to identify the three images. Below you can see two of them, the third one was the writing inside the lord of the rings in elfish. We also spent some time at Ground Control. Playing some old school arcade games. Eric sure does love Ms Pac Man. Thursday Eric spent some quality time with his brother in law playing some video games. Boys will be boys. :) Friday Ashlie took the day off and we hung out with Eric's family. Eric's Aunt Gloria was in town to see Bruce Springstein and Yvonne went to rock out along side her. So the girls hung out at our house downtown before going to the concert. They had a great time and are still sore from all the dancing and jumping around. Saturday we also spent time with Eric's family. Did a little shopping and hit up happy hour at Bartini...yummy martini's and snacks. Then that evening we went over to Mike and Yvonne's and had game night. Gloria, Lori and Uncle Mike were there too. On Sunday we went to the Portland Art Museum to see a special exhibit called "The Dancer." It was a series of artwork from 3 painters featuring ballerinas. It was beautiful. Then we took some time to explore the rest of the museum. It was great.
Well that is about it. Eric had a nice spring break and we were able to spend some time together. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Love, Ashlie & Eric

Another passionate kiss with the egg.

Oh...did I mention that this weekend it has snowed, hailed and poured down rain here in Portland. This is a picture of the snow....not the best shot, but you get the picture. :)

The Dancer Exhibit

A statue in the park blocks by the museum. Lincoln...with Eric doing another great impression.

Theodore Roosevelt. The Ruff Rider himself.
Notice the random orange cone in the horse's behind.

A mural on the side of a building. Eric and I really liked it, so we took a picture. It looks 3d but it's not. Cool huh?

Ashlie and Eric after we left the museum.

Well there it is. Hope you enjoyed reading about our weekend!

Easter 2008

Happy Easter!
Eric and I spent Easter with Eric's family (Mike, Yvonne, Mo, Jared, Naya) and had a great time. We had dinner and relaxed, laughed, watched a movie, and chatted. It was a great day. But the # 1 thing we did was play with Naya. So....this blog is basically dedicated to the cutest little girl in the world, Naya.
Naya in her Easter dress. Totally adorable. She had on these sparkly silver shoes.

Naya in the "achoo" It's this soft tube thing that looks like a centipede or something, that she calls the "achoo" since Papa Mike does this silly thing where he pretends to sneeze and this collapsible tube thing shoots out. It make much more sense if you see it done. :)

Uh oh....where's uncle Eric?

There he is!

Naya crawling inside the achoo

Naya was inside the achoo saying, "where's naya?" then she crawled out with a big smile on her face. With Biscuit (the dog) watching over play time.

After a little tub time....little miss naked came out and was flashing us!
I'm gonna get you....notice Naya's foot at the bottom of the picture. She was putting it on Eric's face playing a little game with him.
Uh oh....he got you!! She was laughing so hard!!
So apparently my darling niece has a thing for tape...so here is a picture of her with tape on her mouth. She really liked it. She is so strange sometimes.
Oh and then Mo is going to kill me. But for our family and friends that don't live around here, this is a picture of the nugget. Mo is due June 21st....and here is her tummy. :) Sorry Mo, but I had to put this picture on here.
Well that was Easter! Hope you had a good one!
Love,
Ashlie & Eric
