UO v USC

Hello,
This weekend I was fortunate enough to be able to go see the USC Trojans play the UO Ducks in Eugene on Saturday. I went down with some friends from work. We had a great time...it was so much fun. Here are some pictures from the game.
Oh, and the Ducks won!
Storming the field after the win!
Funny story on this one...everyone stormed the field early and they had to get people off so they could finish the game. We saw this guy jump over the wall to get to the field and he crushed his foot. Literally...broke his foot. It was funny...but looked painful. ;)

Betsy's rock and roll fingers! We went to Goodtimes before the tailgating for a Bloody Mary.

We saw this shirt....so funny!

This is Mike, Betsy's husband and undefeated beer pong champion.

This is Betsy...my friend from work.

This is Nick and Joey Harrington. Nick is the Equipment Manager I work with at the UO. He's the one on crutches.

Here is Betsy and this fat guy who took his shirt off at the beginning of the game.

Well it was a great weekend. Poor Eric, he had to go with the WOU football team to Western Washington. He had to take a bus all the way up there. Yuck. But they did win. :) Eric is busy with school, he is gone again next weekend to Southern Utah. I will be in LA for a business trip. I am going to take lots of pictures so hopefully I will be able to update everyday.
Well have a great week. We love you!

Family Weekend

Hello All,
The weekend has come and gone...but here are some pictures of what we did. Oh yea, on Saturday I was the biggest dork ever and read a book cover to cover. The name of the book is Kite Runner. It was by far one of the best books I have ever read. It was amazing and highly recommend it. And Eric came home late on Saturday night...he was working a football game. So we had to cram all of our weekend adventures into one day. :)
So Liza, my cousin (hi Liza) asked to see some pictures of our place downtown. So here it is! Casa de Johnson. It is on the smaller side, but perfect for us. Since it is right downtown we can walk and go anywhere.
This is the view from the front door. (Eric is checking out his cactus, Spike, making sure he is doing ok)
Here is our kitchen
The view from the kitchen into the dining area and living room
Here is the view from our window. There is a fire pit and a BBQ right outside our patio. And then the river
Eric took these pictures...they are of the giant tanker ship that was docked across the river from our house.
The tug boats helping guide the tanker to sea.
Sternwheeler!
So we spent Sunday morning taking pictures, then we took a nice walk around the Pearl. Went to Powell's book store and had a yummy lunch. Then we headed to Monique and Jared's house to have some quality time with the family.
Eric made me wait outside so he and Naya could have some time together. This was her face when he came in the door.
Then it was time to open presents...Eric turned 30 last month, so these are some gifts from the Robert's family.
This is a picture of one of Eric's presents...depends for men! Along with this lovely and practical gift, Eric also got some gas relief and libido enhancing pills.
He also got a magnifying glass for those old eyes. But check out his big eye!
Which he shared with Naya...here she is inspecting his card. :)
Eric also got a pill box filled with candy. Some sweet and some sour. Which he shared with Naya. Well at least he shared the sour ones. Check out her bitter candy face!
Then it was time to play a little NASCAR with Naya. So here is Eric revving the engines preparing for the big start.
Uh oh...looks like Naya took the turn too sharp. Check out Eric's face...is he freaked out or what! No worries, Eric caught her before she even touched the ground. And she thought it was the best ride ever.
Eric and Naya. Yes...she finally showed some love for her Uncle Eric!
Me and Naya. Naya was eating guacamole...hence the dirty face.
Well this picture speaks for itself. She finally gave in. Totally passed out on the edge of the stair. :)
Then Eric and I headed over to my parents house for dinner. Where Dad and Eric spent some time being phone dorks. :) Sorry dad not the best picture of you. I think I caught him halfway.
Eric's yaba daba do feet. Check out how bendy they are!

Here is a picture of Elliot, my brother. Is he getting skinny (and buff) or what!
A little brotherly love. Elliot and Eric!

Here is the family cat...Chaos.
And finally my honey!

That was the weekend. Nothing too exciting but fun nonetheless. Next weekend Eric is traveling to Western Washington with Western Oregon University Football team. And then he is gone again the first weekend of November to Utah. But I will be around, holding down the fort. Well, have a great week!

I have had a very busy week. Spent 2 days down in Eugene hanging out with the UO football team. And I got to see Eric on Wednesday, which was nice. Thursday evening was spent with the girls (Naya and Maddie) and the family (Mo and Jared). We watched a great Grey's Anatomy. Where I spent commercial time texting with Cassi and being Auntie Jungle Gym. Here are some great new pictures of the girls.
Nay and Maddie: Maddie was having a little dress up time.

Naya: with the strangest smile I have ever seen her do. :)

Supermodel Naya. Ya girl!

Then it was time to take a nap with her friend Woody. Note: yes she has climbed onto a built in shelf. :)

Naya giving the meow meow loves.

Well I guess than nap was a good time...kisses for woody!

Here is a picture of me and Maddie
And then one of me and Naya

Naya slurping ice cream out of a bowl. (notice her legs are crossed, how cute is that!)
After...
Maddie and Naya doing a little butt dancing.
Coloring time

And well after all that...Auntie Ashlie was tired. So I took a little rest in Naya's big girl bed. :)

Well that was my evening. Eric will be home this weekend. I am sure we will do something random and have some great pictures to show for it. Happy Friday and have a great weekend!

Crabbing!

This weekend Eric and I went crabbing in Newport. Here are some pictures from our adventure.
Check out this crazy monster truck we saw...we had to get out and take some pictures with it.

This thing is so big I can't even reach the handle!

Here is the bridge at Newport Harbor

This is a picture of Newport Harbor

Some locals....it must be a hard life. :)

A little artistic shot...buoys on the dock

Eric "the crabber" Johnson. The long walk from the car to the end of the dock.

Eric getting ready....how do you tie a figure 8 knot again??

This is the bait we used. Check out the teeth on him. I ventured onto the fishing pier and asked some of the local fisherman for some crabbing bait. Eric tried but no one helped him. I guess it's a woman's job. :)

Throwing in the first pot. We borrowed the crab rings from one of Eric's co-workers at WOU. It was our first time using the rings.

This is me pulling up my crab pot. "Big Green"

Eric's big catch! Just kidding....we caught bigger crabs than this one. This is a Red Rock Crab. You only eat the claws of these guys. We found out you are allowed to keep 24 red crabs per person and you can keep the males and the females. Dungeness crabs you are only allowed to keep 12 per person and they have to be males that are of a certain size and up.

Me and a starfish! They get caught in the rings and the pots. You are allowed to keep starfish below 10 pounds. Crazy!

Well we ended up catching a couple of girl dungeness crabs that we couldn't keep and some males but they were too small. We did get a bunch of red rock crabs but they are too much work for such little meat. So we came home empty handed. But we had a lot of fun and did get to have a bowl of Mo's world famous clam chowder, plus I got to spend some time with my honey. All in all it was a great weekend.
Love,
Ashlie and Eric
